A note from Stephanie

“Where creativity blossoms.”

$Stephanie$ This spring means my son Miles will be finishing up his Junior year of college in Boston and in June, he will be 21! I still clearly remember the day I gave birth to him and it feels like yesterday that I took him to preschool and kin-dergarten… fast forward two plus decades… he’s a wonderful perfect young man! (“snicker”)

It also means my store in September will be 20 years old — look for fun cel-ebrations in our next newsletter for Labor Day weekend. Save that date!! We hope you will decide to join us for our fun classes this Spring. Our class kits have become quite popular. Especially if you want to do something fun at home, grab a kit or two and create with friends… or take the class in our store and finish your cards quick and hang out with Kelley and I. It will probably take like 20 minutes to finish a card kit. We encourage you to try it out!

A little tidbit about me…
I had the honor of writing about my life as a store owner and tv journalist and also being interviewed in the local Nikkei West and Nichi Bei Times newspapers. Two newspapers that showcase the lives of Japanese Americans. It was a wonderful experience to showcase my store and to talk about my journalism experi-ences. One of the fond memories I have being a Japanese American reporter is being able to represent Asians in a fair and impartial way. Looking back, I’m thinking gosh, I got out a little too soon, I missed the big hype of Shohei Ohtani signing with the Dodgers… and his three grand slams… dang.

We'll happily send kits to your home or you can pick it up in-store. Each kit provides everything you need to create six cards. All you need is double-stick adhesive and a glue to adhere any fun sequins or embellishments.
